“In the Eastern Church when a priest blesses you he uses his hand in the shape of Christ’s name to bless you. ICXC is Jesus Christ in Greek.
We see this hand gesture in many icons.
When I first read the Theology of the Body by JPII I understood more clearly the dignity I held in the very nature of my body and it’s deep meaning. -The gestures we use with our bodies and the language we use also matter.
I can be Christ’s hand in this world or I can choose differently.
I choose Christ.”
