In the Eastern Churches when you bless yourself with the sign of the cross you place three fingers together and the other two are tucked down.
One set of three is for the Trinity- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The other set of two is for the two natures of Jesus- God and Man.
This way you are blessing yourself with the sign of God.
