When given the freedom from my client to come up a version of Our Lady Undoer of Knots, this was the first image that came into my mind. I wanted something that was both Orthodox and Roman looking; an icon and a more realistic representation all at the same time.
These angels that are assisting Our Lady with the rope are called Seraphim, or "the burning ones". They are called the burning ones because they are the angels closest to the Throne of God in heaven. While Mary was pregnant with Jesus these Seraphim must have been surrounding her at all times as she was, in a sense, a throne for Christ himself.
We tie many knots in our lives, with our thoughts, tongues, and hands, but there is no knot too great for Our Lady Undoer of Knots. Turn to her and ask for her help.
*Please note that your order is fulfilled by Printful on museum-quality matte paper. Images will arrive in a mailing tube and will need to be flattened out and framed as desired. The cropping of all images is completed by me and may vary from size to size. As such, your print may appear slightly different than the image posted here.
