On October 7, 1571, an outnumbered fleet of ships miraculously defeated the moorish advance on Italy through the prayers of the Rosary, saving Christendom. Pope Pius V instituted the Feast of Our Lady of Victory - now named the Feast of the Holy Rosary. During the month of October we celebrate the power of devotion to the Rosary.
